Back to School Events and Things!

Well, I promised in my last post that my next one would be all back-to-school themed and guess what? This post will be full of exciting back-to-school events because honestly, I need to make going back to school fun. XD

So, on our agenda-

You guys: *pops in randomly* Why is there an agenda?!
Me: Because it sounds school-ish! Now go away and let me post! *grabs notebook and slaps it over You guy's heads*

As I was saying, on our agenda today for this post, we will:

-Look back at an old post from last year about school

-Look back at a post written by a dear friend about school

-See an exciting back-to-school contest and its rules

-See another exciting back-to-school event coming up soon

-show some cute back-to-school outfits on AJ for all jammers to enjoy

Sounds like a full post! Let's get started so we're not sitting here all day. XD

Last year, I wrote a post (now it's super cringey, heh) about tips for getting back into school. So if you want, feel free to read it by clicking here! (Just skip past my terrible explanation on how I do school. It's... awkward. XD)

But a while ago, I read a WAY better post on school tips written by my lovely friend, Awesomepanda. She quit last year which was extremely sad but her impact in the community will always be there! When I read her tips, I just sat there going wow. Her writing is very clear and easy to read and her tips were excellent and more suitable for public schools than mine were.

And now on to some exciting events and contests coming up at AJJ!

Remember last year, I held a back-to-school fashion show?

Well, I'm doing it again this year!! :D

I absolutely love hosting fashion shows, entering fashion shows, voting on fashion shows, anything that has to do with fashion shows! XD So I'm really pumped to host this one!

Rules:

1. You can enter by commenting on this post or JAGing me! Be sure to leave your username and the name of the animal you're entering.

2. No extra accounts can be used, sorry!

3. Don't be sore if you don't win, it's pretty much chance and I will hold more fashion shows in the future!

4. Don't copy anyone's entries, be creative!

5. All entries will be accepted from now 'til the 20th!

Hey-ho jamming jammers! ^.^

Guess who had their first day back at school? Me!!

I think my first day back is probably different then everyone else's. For one, I'm homeschooled so it's waayyy different than public school. Second, I finished in the morning. (As in, at 11:30 AM) Third, I only had math and history.

Lemme explain.

I think you guys all knew I was homeschooled, right? So for me, that means I get to stay at home, wake up with no alarm, not have to walk or drive to school, and have only one teacher and four classes. History, science, math, and language arts. I have never been to public school so this is my normal. ;)

LOL, your all probably like, "What?! How did you finish at 11:30? That's crazy!" Well, not really. You see, in my math, I do a lesson a day. In my other 'classes' I have to do a certain amount of pages and then I'm done. So if I hurry, I can be done in the morning.

And again, your all like, "How did you only do TWO 'classes'? My mom (A.K.A. my teacher) likes to start school off easy. Tomorrow I'll do three 'classes' and on Monday, I'll do four. (Yes, I don't do school on Fridays...)

So yeah, school was pretty good. My brain kinda has to turn on again from a sleepy, no school three months of summer. But it was good. :)

Now, today, I wanna try to give some helpful school tips. I feel like I'm outta the loop in the public school area of life but I want to try to give some tips.

Let's begin!

 

 

1. Go to bed earlier then you did in the summer. Don't be awake at midnight. It's not healthy. Also, you probably need your rest for school. So go to bed at a healthy time.

2. Wake up and be thankful. I keep a notebook that I call my 'Thankfulness Book'. Every school day, I write down two things I'm thankful for. It helps me stay happy. You don't have to keep a book. Just say what your thankful for in your mind or out loud by yourself.

3. Be careful of your words. Don't say things like, "Ugh, school stinks." or "Man, I hate school." It makes you BELIEVE that school is stupid when it's not. Also, don't say, "I'm so dumb, I'll never do good in school." Don't say that! I struggle with this too. But it makes my school feel so hard when it's not. So be careful.

4. Finish your projects or assignments early rather than later. I find it hard to have a project to do and wait till it's almost due and THEN start it. It's easier getting it done so you don't have to worry about it.

5. If your studying for a big test, I'd suggest to take short breaks. Go for a short walk or something. Just try not to overflow your mind with facts. Otherwise, you get half of it or parts of it remembered.

Ok, so, you all know about my back to school fashion contest and my back to school party right? The fashion contest has two entries. And the deadline is today. What happened, guys?! XD

I decided to come up with some school outfits on AJ! (Inspiration by Violet. Thanks, Vi!) There will be a non-member outfit and a member outfit, so everyone gets one! :D

 

Here we go!

 

 

Member Outfit:

French Braid - 350 gems (any color)

Sports Jersey - 500 gems (any color)

Elf Bracelets - 250 gems (any color)

Total Amount of Gems: 1,100

 

Non-Member Outfit:

Nerd Glasses - trading

Rare Item Monday and Outfit Ideas!

Rare Item Monday!!

 

 

Rare Sandals! They are sold at the Summer Carnival and can be bought for 5,000 tickets. Mamamia! XD That is a lot! Also, surprise, surprise, the rare is members only!

 

 

Blue for non-member rares and yellow for member rares.

 

Wowie, AJHQ broke their pattern!! :o But maybe the non-member rare on Make Music Day counted for something. Who knows? ^.^

Today I felt like giving outfit ideas! Both member and non-member. :D

 

Since Freedom Day is coming up, let's start with a non-member outfit and a member outfit.

 

A Freedom pig! All the items all for non-members so anyone can wear this outfit. ^-^

 

Technically only the sword is members only but I realized that I hardly have any member Freedom clothes! XD

 

Now for summer outfits!

 

 

The blue Sun Hat is wonderful for the beach and the Ribbon Scarf works nicely with it too!

 

 

The Hula Skirt and Sun visor will be perfect for the beach. And add some bling with beachy pearls!

 

And the last outfit idea is adventure! ^-^

 

You could really have any color of Bow and Arrow or Raccoon Hat. Anything that matches! :)

Kind of Robin Hood-ish looking. But it still looks adventurey! :D
